A man decides to take his pregnant wife on a trip for the weekend. As they head out she starts to have contractions and they decide to turn around, but an unfortunate accident leaves them trapped in the woods.

It’s no spoiler that the main characters get into a bad wreck, but what should make the movie is what happens after the wreck. In this case what happens after the wreck started off decent, but constantly went downhill and when the main “plot twist” is introduced the movie crashes on its own. The acting is decent and you feel for the characters at times. Some of the things they do after the wreck don’t make as much sense, but still it’s hard to say how you’d react after being in an accident like that. The curiosity of what would happen kept me into the film for awhile.

They do introduce a mysterious element to the film as there is someone out there, but that part was poorly developed and in fact once it is all revealed feels really stupid. I had planned to give The Wreck a better review, but the last 10 or so minutes really made me dislike the movie. I’m being vague as to not spoil it, but if you decide to watch the film you will see what I mean and I’d find it hard to believe people will like it.

Ratings Explained

10-9 = Very few movies will get a 9 or 10 and it is reserved for great movies with very few flaws. The acting, direction, music, plot, and ending all have to be excellent.

8-7 = Most highly recommended movies will fall under this range. They will be enjoyable and get a positive recommendation. Some flaws in the film will keep it from getting a higher score, but definitely worth checking out.

6-5 = Films in this range have several flaws and may be entertaining, but lack most of the qualities that make films great. These are generally reserved for when you want to watch a film and don't have too many options.

4-3 = Anything in this range isn't very good, but has a few positives throughout to keep it from getting the lowest scores. Even though the score is low there is still a chance some people may like these.

2-1 = The bottom of the barrel, the only difference between 2 and 1 is that if I can finish the movie it automatically gets a 2, but if it is so terrible that I need to turn it off before it ends then it gets a 1.
