Summer’s Moon Review

A family of serial killers stalk a young woman out to find the father she’s never known.
Not being a fan of Twilight I didn’t really care Ashley Greene starred in this, but after watching the film I was pleasantly surprised with the film and Ashley Greene’s performance. The film itself isn’t too scary, but it is very creepy in a weird sense. You will feel grossed out at certain parts and just the whole strange energy from the family of serial killers with definitely creep you out. The father of the serial killers performance was much better than the rest of them, but they all worked well together. Some of the supporting acting wasn’t too great, but at the same time it added to the small town feel.
The plot is pretty straight forward, but they throw a few things in there to keep you on your toes and interested. With most horror movies, I wasn’t really impressed by the ending and I’m not sure if there is one, and I won’t post any spoilders, but it definitely felt like there should be an alternate ending. Still Summer’s Moon (Which might also go by Summer’s Blood) was a good suspense thriller and whether you are a fan of Ashley Greene or not you should enjoy this creepy film.
